Over the years, by popular demand, Frontier Systems began to take on more and more traditional accountancy work, and in 2004, the Sage side of the business was sold on to allow for the development of the accountancy and taxation arms, to suit client requirements. This ongoing development ultimately resulted in the Praxis Partnership, as we see it today.

Alan has always been very much focussed on the real world advice aspect of the profession, which is where the name Praxis came from. The dictionary definition of ‘praxis’ is; “The application or use of knowledge or skills. The practice and practical side of a profession or field of study, as opposed to the theory”

This is very much the ethos of Alan and his Team. Our knowledge and skills are of little use to us if we are unable to effectively communicate them and apply them to individual client circumstances, and our track record in this regard is something we are very proud of.

Although Praxis covers the entirety of the Midlands, the UK as a whole, and, indeed, beyond, the heart of the business is in Alcester, Warwickshire, and this is, also, where Alan now personally resides, just a ten minute walk from the office. Born just 4 miles away, in Studley, Alan attended Alcester Grammar school, and has many happy memories of growing up in the area. He was also heavily involved in one of the family businesses, that was based here. In fact, Minerva Mill, the Praxis registered office, was once owned by the family business, back in the 1990’s.
